New Year. New You. New Fitness Center!

What better time than the New Year to resolve to make changes or improvements in our lives? For many of us, that means hitting the gym or working on shaping up our health in some way. A study performed by the University of Scranton’s Journal of Clinical Psychology (published by statisticbrain.com) reported that 62% of Americans have made New Year’s resolutions in the past and that the most common resolutions in 2014 were to:

 

  1. Lose weight
  2. Get organized
  3. Spend less, save more
  4. Enjoy life to the fullest
  5. Stay fit and healthy
  6. Learn something exciting
  7. Quit smoking
  8. Help others in their dreams
  9. Fall in love
  10. Spend more time with family

 

It’s difficult to argue against making any of these habits a priority in life, yet the same study showed that only 8% of Americans are successful in achieving their resolution. Eagle Ridge Apartments is here to help – at least with a couple of them!

 

Fitness Center Overhaul

A short time ago we started the renovation of your fitness room. This project will involve the expansion of the room by 150%! The added space will allow for separate aerobic and weight areas as well as a stretching/yoga room. Several new pieces of equipment have been purchased including an elliptical, recumbent and spin bikes, weight trainer, dumbbells, kettlebells, mats, and other fitness accessories.

 

We will keep you updated on the progress of the room, but expect to have it completed within six weeks. We’ve attached the proposed room design, so you can have a sneak preview! We’d love to hear any feedback you have on your new fitness room.
